4.0 used to
be the “perfect” GPA when I was growing up. Now the educational system has come
up with ways to exceed “perfect”!
Thanks for
joining me for Coffee Hour with Chicklit Power and Tuesday’s Trench Truth with
Trench Classes United.
There is
nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with working for that A, reaching for that
GPA that opens the doors to chosen opportunities, higher learning and
otherwise. The problem with so much emphasis on a letter grade is it can easily
become too much emphasis for identity.
I am
learning, albeit the hard way, that I am not to define myself, nor be defined
by a letter grade!
Oh, to be
okay with not getting an A!
No matter
what challenge we are facing, we need to remind ourselves of who we are in
Christ. Just like we are not the car we drive, or the purse we buy, or the
clothes we wear, we are not defined by anything but who we are in Him, with
Him, and by Him.
Learning…and unlearning
